Lithuanians have developed an innovative technology for using LNG cold energy

Lithuanian engineers have succeeded in developing an advanced technology that will enable the efficient use of the cold energy of liquefied natural gas (LNG). This innovative solution, which will reduce the cost of electricity for businesses and contribute to the solution of ecological problems, will be adapted for use not only in the refrigerator terminals but also in many other objects.

KN and the US LNG supplier Freeport LNG signed a memorandum of understanding

On 3 April, KN (AB Klaipėdos nafta), the operator of oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals, and Freeport LNG, the US liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplier and the operator of the future LNG terminal, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Washington related to further cooperation between them in areas of development of onshore infrastructure needed for FSRU based LNG import terminals.

Final Conference of HEKLA Project – ‘New Clean Energy Opportunities in the Baltic Sea Region’

HEKLA-Helsingborg & Klaipeda LNG Infrastructure Facility Deployment is a CEF, Motorways of the Sea Project financially supported by the European Commission. Final Conference, was a valuable summarising event gathering about 100 key stakeholders in Klaipeda Castle's Site Conference Hall on 1st March in Klaipeda, Lithuania. Government officials, policymakers, representatives from leading regional and European organisations attended and contributed to the main topic - New Clean Energy Opportunities in the Baltic Sea Region.
